Events & Bookings Assistant

Job summary
​
Assisting in the planning and execution of QM Events including shows in Brighton, London and Further Afield. Working with the QM Management and working with current artists and finding new artists for shows. Planning and executing MOVES Festival 2022, liaising with the venue, artists booking agents and sponsors to create a great experience for the audience.
Visualising new event Ideas, finding and booking venues in Brighton / London for regular shows.
Managing event budgets, Identifying and booking shows for artists Kymara and Normanton Street.
Creating marketing campaigns for events working closely with PR and Digital Marketing and Social media. Managing events mailing lists for each city and scheduling mail outs for shows.

Essential skills, experience and qualifications
​
This person must be a proactive person with good attention to details. They must have good communication skills with both members of the team and external contacts. They must be adept at using IT, including Microsoft & Google packages including Word/google docs and Excel/google sheets, and e-mail systems. They must be friendly and approachable and remain calm when faced with competing demands. They should be able to deal with the ebbs and flows of the work patterns. They must be able to be proactive, commit to work tasks, take ownership of their own work, but also be able to ask for help when it’s needed, and listen to and take direction but also take initiative. They must have an interest in working in music / creative industries. They must show sensitivity in working with vulnerable people and have a commitment to equality and inclusivity.
